Falcons Annual Events

Pat O'Kane Cup – This is our tournament. It is run by Falcons and their families. Originally known as the Sandbury Cup, the tournament, which began in 1978, was renamed several years ago in memory of former club president Pat O`Kane, who was the driving force behind the tournament in its early years. From its humble beginnings as a single division tournament, the Pat O'Kane Cup has grown to become the largest senior outdoor tournament in Ottawa, hosting over 50 teams in 4 divisions.

Falcons Cup – This annual co-ed end-of-season tournament gives Falcons a chance to kick the ball around with clubmates, brag about the season's successes and lament the season's failures over a pint or 2. All members in good standing are eligible to play in this one-day event. Teams are determined in a draw held on the eve of the tournament. Winners earn bragging rights for the year.

Falcons & Friends Fall League –This co-ed league, made up of Falcons and Friends, began as an effort to extend the outdoor season for those of us who just don't want the summer to end. The league runs every Sunday morning for 6 weeks rain or shine (and sometimes snow) Registrants are charged a token fees to cover the rental of the field.

Annual Awards Banquet – The annual awards banquet serves 2 main purposes. We congratulate winning teams, mvps and winners of the coveted club trophies. We reminisce over seasons past. And we spend the evening enjoying the company of our clubmates.

Kids Christmas Party – For the past few years Santa has been making a special trip to visit with the sons & daughters of Falcons. Along with a gift from Santa, the day promises activities to entertain those who are young and sometimes even those who are young at heart.
